Accessibility at QuickQuill

We want everyone to use our site and services. Our baseline is WCAG 2.2 AA. If anything blocks you, tell us—we’ll fix it.

Our standard

We aim to meet WCAG 2.2 Level AA across pages and components. We follow semantic HTML, visible focus, logical tab order, and clear link purpose.

  • Skip links and landmark regions
  • Color contrast ≥ 4.5:1 for body text
  • Keyboard-only operation for menus, dialogs, and forms
  • Motion reduced for users with prefers-reduced-motion

We test with modern screen readers and browsers and design content in plain language. When something can’t be fully accessible (e.g., third-party embeds), we provide an alternative.

  • Alt text or aria-label on meaningful media
  • Forms with labels, instructions, and error summaries
  • ARIA only when native semantics are insufficient
  • Performance budgets to keep pages fast

What we’ve implemented

Keyboard & focus

  • Logical tab order and skip to content
  • Visible focus styles on all interactive elements
  • Trap-free dialogs, dismissible with Esc

Structure & semantics

  • Headings in order (H1 → H2 → H3)
  • Landmarks (header, nav, main, footer)
  • Tables with headers and captions when used

Media, motion & language

  • Alt text on meaningful images
  • Reduced animation for motion preferences
  • Plain English, short sentences, clear CTAs

Known limitations

We’re working on these areas. If they affect you, contact us for a workaround or alternative.

  • Legacy PDFs: Older downloadable PDFs may not be fully tagged. Workaround: ask for an accessible HTML or Word version.
  • Third-party embeds: Some iframes (e.g., booking tools) may have keyboard or contrast gaps we can’t fully control. Workaround: we offer direct email/phone alternatives.
  • Historic blog imagery: A small number of old posts may have missing or weak alt text. We’re fixing these during routine refreshes.

Feedback & alternative formats

If you find a problem not listed here or need content in a different format (accessible PDF, large print, braille-ready, audio), tell us what you need and the page URL.
